Over the Hill

I made this card for my old boss (probably lucky he isn't doing my performance reviews anymore). He is a few months younger than his wife and has told me he uses those three months between their birthday to pay out on her as much as possible about her being old. So in her defence I didn't make him a 'nice' birthday card this year but an 'Over the Hill' one!! hehe Happy 50th Birthday!!

What's On your Workbench? Wednesday

Gee today has been confusing for me - this morning I thought 'Wow it is Wednesday already!" but by the end of the day I was thinking it was Thursday - "Oh my is it only Wednesday!!"

This week again I don't have much on my desk - a card in half production (hopefully finish tonight), cricut cartridge with I am thinking about using on another card I need to make and some notes with sketches to try.

I actually used the SU stamps I had on my desk last week (shock horror ;-)) and posted the end result; you can check it out HERE if you like!

Thanks for those who left comments last week too. I got around to a small few of you fun peeps and I will endeavour to get around to more this week!!

Check out everyone else's desks at the Stamping Ground and have a happy WOYWW!!

Expecting Congratulations

A good friend of mine at work recently told me she was expecting...how very exciting. So I wanted to make her a card!

Well when I started I looked for a sketch, any sketch, for some inspiration and found this one on the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge site (#29).

I ended up making my cut a little bigger than expected so I had to move the sentiment. I am happy with the end layout regardless.

I also saw that the Fantabulous Cricut site where running a Square, green and gold challenge (# 51) and as I didn't know what sex the baby is it was perfect colours to use!

I am happy to be making use of a very neglected cartridge and to use a cut never used before!!

Card Specs
Stamp/Image: EK Success Baby Multi-Stamp
Colouring: Triart
Card Stock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: DCWV Nanna's Nursery Baby Boy and The Green Stacks
Inks: Versafine Onyx black and Versa Color Vanilla cube
Die Cuts: Criut New Arrivals Cartridge
Embellishments: Prima flowers, Kaiser Gems and Bella Ribbonz

I am also entering this into the following challenge as well as the ones mentioned above
- Die Cuttin Divas Challenge # 6 - Unused and Unloved
- Dream Valley Challenge # 2- New Beginnings
- Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge - Anything Goes

What's On your Workbench? Wednesday

First of all sorry that I didn't get around to your desks again last week! I have been interstate for work again and it has clearly gotten in the way of my crafting life. As you will see from my pic there is not much going on there. Cricut still the in the same state....unused and a small pile of things out to use or file!! It's depressing.

OK I also have to explain the post it notes...they are for challenges I went to enter or blogs I want to visit. The 'CE' label is for a company that makes rubber stamps to order. They probably wont exist by the time I get around to emailing them!

That's it for me for this week so...check out everyone else's desks at the Stamping Ground and have a happy WOYWW!!

What's On your Workbench? Wednesday

It's this time of the week again! It's my fav time of the week as work is over the half way mark done and I get to check out other fine crafter's hideouts!! I did get around to a few last week (not as many as I was hoping for but more than the previous couple of weeks) and I would like to thank those who visited me and left nice comments..thanks!!

This week I have a pretty clean area as I did a bit of a tidy up on the weekend (and yes my floor is clean too).

Just a finished card on my expensive drying rack (hehe my cricut) and one to start later tonight for a guy at work.

Other than that just a few supplies to but away!!

Last week and the one before that I had questions around my little container of things. It contains flowers I had made and bought, images not used, cards in the making and dies to put away. Here is a pic of it close up this week but I had culled it over the weekend as it was overflowing!!

If you are wondering why I have been rabbiting on about my desk for the last 5 minutes visit Julia at the Stamping Ground and have a happy WOYWW!!
